Allison Park, PA (June 20th, 2013) – After suffering from motor failure during last Saturday’s FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division event at the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia; Western Pennsylvania crate late model standout, Colton Flinner, will return to competition this Saturday evening, June 22nd, at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania. The big half-mile dirt oval, located minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, will not only host a regular program for the RUSH Pro-Late Model ‘Weekly Series’ this Saturday, but ‘PPMS’ will also play host to the non-wing, Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) sprint cars for the first time in 2013. Colton Flinner, an Allison Park native, is the two-time and defending crate late model track champion at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, and hopes to secure his second victory of the 2013 season this Saturday evening at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile.’
On a special note, Colton Flinner will be debuting a ‘new look’ for his American Framers, VOX Energy, A.W. Beattie Career Center, Bellisarios Lounge, no. 75 crate late model during this Saturday’s RUSH Pro-Late Model program at ‘PPMS.’ Flinner, who is a recent winner at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, has decided to bypass the scheduled FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division events this Friday and Sunday, June 21st & 23rd, and instead, ‘shake down’ his new car and ‘new look’ at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. Motor issues have been plaguing the American Framers/Vox Energy ‘75’ team; giving even more reason to spend the upcoming weekend close to home.
