Raced Through the Alphabet at Lernerville’s ‘Steel City Stampede’

Allison Park, PA (April 15th, 2013) – Colton Flinner is set for another round of FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division action this Saturday night, April 20th, at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The region’s top crate late model competitors will be on hand at the Mercer 3/8’s mile oval on Saturday evening; all vying for the $1,200 top prize. Colton Flinner, the two-time and defending Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway FASTRAK/Pro Late Model track champion, finished third (3rd) during his last Mercer Raceway Park appearance with the FASTRAK Northeast Touring Division; and will look to climb the podium two more spots this Saturday night to capture a career-first FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division win. Flinner is following the entire FASTRAK Northeast Division schedule in 2013.
Colton Flinner will head into the upcoming weekend with a ton of positive momentum. The Allison Park, Pennsylvania native finished sixth (6th) this past Sunday afternoon with the FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The FASTRAK crate late models were on hand once again for the ‘Steel City Stampede’ program at Lernerville Speedway; a program was originally scheduled for last October.Taking into consideration that Flinner was not present last October for ‘Steel City Stampede’ heat races, the former crate late model winner was forced to tag the field of Sunday’s ‘Steel City Stampede’ FASTRAK consolation event. Flinner would transfer through the event into the A-main without any issues; allowing the American Framers, Vox Energy, A.W. Beattie Career Center, no. 75 crate late model to start 19th in the ‘Steel City Stampede’ – FASTRAK Northeast Touring Division main event. Flinner would climb thirteen spots to secure himself inside the top ten of the running order; he would finish sixth (6th) officially.
