$30,000 On The Line Saturday Night

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

Allison Park, PA (June 24th, 2015) – For a second consecutive year, western Pennsylvania’s Colton Flinner will join the World of Outlaws Late Model Series at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania for the annual ‘Firecracker 100’ presented by GottaRace.com. The 2015 edition of the ‘Firecracker 100’ weekend will feature three full days of super late model competition; beginning tomorrow evening, Thursday, June 25th, and stretching until Saturday, June 27th. Flinner, a super late model sophomore and former crate late model hotshoe, will use the upcoming ‘Firecracker 100’ weekend as another opportunity to learn from the best, with an overall goal to qualify for the 100-lap, $30,000-to-win main event on Saturday night, June 27th.

“This is as big as it gets” said Colton Flinner, “We know what we are up against but we enjoy every minute of it…getting to race on the same track as these guys is an amazing feeling…I grew up watching a lot of these drivers, and now I have the opportunity to race with them…I just want to thank my race team for making this happen…my family and loyal sponsors make this possible…hopefully mother nature can cooperate and we can get all three days in.”

Colton Flinner, pilot of the American Framers, VOX Energy, A.W. Beattie Career Center, Bellisarios Lounge, Randig Towing, Paradise Vending, no. 75 super late model, has been all over the region so far in 2015; racing as far east as Jamaica, Virginia and as far west as Rossburg, Ohio. This weekend, Colton Flinner will only need to commute 45 minutes to one of dirt racing’s most prestigious super late model programs.

“Having an event like this close to home is really special” said Colton Flinner, “It gives local teams and drivers like me some extra exposure…we really have nothing to lose this weekend…we are going to race as hard as we can every night and try to work ourselves into the main event on Saturday…I’m excited to get started.”

Colton Flinner is a recent graduate of the regional crate late model class. The Allison Park, Pennsylvania native earned two track championships at the nearby Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, as well as a FASTRAK Regional Touring Series victory at the Mercer Raceway Park; all during crate late model competition.

On a special note, Colton Flinner will make a short term return to crate late model competition later this weekend; driving the Bob Bentz owned no. 60 crate late model at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Sunday, June 28th. The annual ‘Jook George Memorial’ is on tap at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile.’

“Can’t thank Bob Bentz and his dad enough for this opportunity” said Colton Flinner, “I have a lot of experience at P.P.M.S.’…hopefully we can put it to good use on Sunday and earn a win for Bob!”

The 2015 ‘Firecracker 100’ presented by GottaRace.com will feature two preliminary World of Outlaws Late Model Series programs on Thursday and Friday, June 25th & 26th; followed by the 100-lap, $30,000-to-win grand finale on Saturday, June 27th.
