Allison Park, PA (July 2nd, 2013) – As expected, Western Pennsylvania crate late model ‘hotshot’ Colton Flinner has a very busy ‘Fourth of July’ weekend in store for his American Framers, VOX Energy, A.W. Beattie Career Center, Bellisarios Lounge, no. 75 crate late model team; as two (2) full days of Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Series competition await the Allison Park, Pennsylvania native. Flinner, who is a recent winner in crate late model competition in Western Pennsylvania, will participate in a Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series event during the upcoming holiday weekend; as well as a Sweeney RUSH Weekly Series event. The upcoming weekend schedule will give Colton Flinner an opportunity to not only create some much needed momentum, but also add two (2) more wins to his season total.
The upcoming weekend will kick-off for Colton Flinner and his familiar American Framers ‘75’ on Friday evening, July 5th at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series will be in town on Friday night; hosting a ‘topless’ crate late model program which will award $1,200 to the main event winner. Flinner’s most recent visit to the Lernerville Speedway took place back in April during the rescheduled ‘Steel City Stampede’ finale. The former Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway track champion finished sixth (6th) during the crate late model main event at the ‘Steel City Stampede;’ which was sanctioned by the FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division. This Friday’s ‘topless’ Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series event at the Lernerville Speedway will be co-headlined by the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) non-wing sprint cars. Colton Flinner will close-out his upcoming holiday weekend with a Sweeney RUSH Weekly Series event on Saturday evening, July 6th at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania. ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile’ will be hosting another ‘Action Event’ this Saturday night; which will feature all of the track’s weekly divisions including the RUSH crate late models. All ‘Action Event’ crate results from ‘PPMS’ count towards the overall Sweeney RUSH Weekly Series championship. Colton Flinner is a recent Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway winner, and also owns two consecutive track championships at the facility.
