Allison Park, PA (May 6th, 2013) – Western Pennsylvania FASTRAK crate late model star and current FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division competitor, Colton Flinner, earned his first crate late model victory of the 2013 season on Saturday afternoon, May 4th. The victory came at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania during RUSH Pro-Late Model ‘weekly’ competition. The crate powered RUSH Pro-Late Models are featured each and every weekend during ‘regular’ racing events at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile;’ with some of the region’s top crate late model teams participating in weekly competition. Colton Flinner, who pilots the American Framers, Vox Energy, A.W. Beattie Career Center, no. 75 crate late model, won the 20-lap RUSH Pro-Late Model main event at ‘PPMS’ in dominating fashion; holding off charges by Kyle Lukon and Ron Hall to secure the victory. Colton Flinner is certainly no stranger to Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway victory lane; as the Allison Park, Pennsylvania native is the two-time and defending ‘PPMS’ Pro-Late Model Track Champion, and former speedway winner.

“It feels great to finally get a win!” explained Flinner, “We’ve been having ‘one of those years’ lately but things are finally starting to turn for the better…sometimes it feels like our bad luck always out-weighs our success…this win finally allows for some momentum to build…hopefully we can use that momentum wisely this weekend when we head to Lernerville Speedway and ‘WVMS.’”

Colton Flinner will be back in action this Friday and Saturday, May 10th & 11th, at two different regionally-based dirt ovals. The recent crate late model winner will make his first stop of the weekend at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, May 10th. Flinner will participate in the RUSH crate late model ‘weekly’ event at the Lernerville Speedway this Friday night; sharing the evening card with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions sprint cars. The evening will feature a full program for the RUSH crate late models; which will be the first of three (3) appearances for the division at the Lernerville Speedway in 2013. Colton Flinner’s most recent results at the Lernerville Speedway include a top ten performance during the ‘Steel City Stampede’ FASTRAK Northeast makeup feature back in early April. Flinner was scored sixth (6th) officially in the FASTRAK sanctioned event. For more information on this Friday’s UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions/RUSH Late Models double-header at Lernerville Speedway, check out the facility online at www.lernerville.com.

On Saturday evening, May 11th, Colton Flinner and his American Framers/Vox Energy ‘75’ team will venture south to Mineral Wells, West Virginia for a FASTRAK National Event. The ‘Wild and Wonderful 50’ at West Virginia Motor Speedway will make up Flinner’s Saturday evening schedule. The crate late model spectacle will be highlighted with not only a full program for the FASTRAK crate late models; but it will be topped-off with a 50 lap, $5,000-to-win main event. The FASTRAK National Event is sure to attract some the nation’s top crate late model teams; including Western Pennsylvania hotshoe, Colton Flinner. Additional information on this giant FASTRAK event can be found online at www.fastrakracing.com.

“We are excited to race at some bigger shows this year including this weekend’s ‘Wild and Wonderful 50’ at West Virginia Motor Speedway” said Flinner, “There are going to be a lot of great drivers and teams there…we know how much potential we have, so racing at bigger shows like this allows us to see where we stand…it’s been an on-and-off year for us…bad luck has been lingering around but now that we finally got that first win, maybe things will turn around for us…I just need to thank everyone who is involved with this team – one way or another…hopefully we can continue winning this weekend!”
