Pittsburgh, PA (10/22/2012) – Allison Park, Pennsylvania native and two-time and defending Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway crate late model champion, Colton Flinner, earned two (2) top-ten finishes this past Saturday night, October 20th, at 311 Speedway in the heart of North Carolina. The Western Pennsylvania youngster earned a fifth place finish, and a ninth place finish, during the crate late model double-feature program. Each main event was worth $1,000 to the winner. The visit to 311 Speedway this past Saturday night was technically the first of Flinner’s young career. Flinner’s first visit to the famed speedway resulted in a rain-out before feature action.

“We had a lot of fun at 311 Speedway” said Flinner, “To go there and earn two top tens during our first visit is really special…we can’t wait to go back there!”

Colton Flinner, and the entire Vox Energy Solutions ’75’ operation, will bypass their plans to compete at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio this coming weekend, and instead, make a visit to Sarver, Pennsylvania’s Lernerville Speedway for the annual DIRTcar Roundup ‘Steel City Stampede.’ Lernerville Speedway’s DIRTcar Roundup will feature the FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series’ Region Finale this Thursday through Saturday, October 25th, 26th, and 27th, for the crate late models; paying $2,000 to the winner of Saturday evening’s FASTRAK main event. Flinner had intentions of traveling west to Eldora Speedway this weekend for the inaugural ‘Blue Collar Bash,’ but would rather stay close to home to compete in front of his friends, family, and team supporters.

“We were excited about Eldora, but I think Lernerville Speedway would be a better place to close out the year” explained Colton Flinner, “We want to race in front of our family and friends…and especially our supporters and sponsors…hopefully we can close out the year on a solid note and pick up a win at Lernerville…the Steel City Stampede is a really neat event…I wouldn’t mind taking home a big piece of it!”

Lernerville Speedway’s DIRTcar Roundup ‘Steel City Stampede’ will feature almost ten (10) different DIRTcar divisions, as well as a 100 lap enduro, to close out the 2012 Lernerville racing season. DIRTcar Roundup action will kick-off on Thursday evening, October 25th, with an open practice for all divisions. Racing action will start Friday night, October 26th, with all heat race competition and last chance consolation events. All feature competition will take shape on Saturday evening, October 27th!
