York, PA (April 29th, 2013) – Despite failing to qualify for Friday night’s UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions’ main event at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; the Michael Barshinger Builder, Embee & Son, Inc., York P-B Truss, Inc,. ‘11C’ sprint car team, piloted by Cory Haas, would rebound nicely on Saturday evening and secure yet another top five finish at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. The top five finish was Cory Haas’ third (3rd) of the season at the Abbottstown oval; and his fifth (5th) overall top ten.

Cory Haas’ most recent weekend kicked off with UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions action at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The UNOH All Stars rolled into Williams Grove Speedway on Friday evening, April 26th; locked and loaded with forty-three (43) All Star ‘410’ sprint cars signed in for action. Unfortunately, a bad qualifying time would set a negative tone for Cory Haas’ entire evening at the world-famous half mile. The Mike Barshinger owned ‘11C’ sprinter would fail to transfer out of heat race action; forcing Cory Haas to compete in the evening’s consolation B-main. The recent Williams Grove Speedway winner would finish seventh (7th) during B-main competition; failing to transfer into the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win UNOH All Star main event. Don Kreitz Jr. was the $5,000 victor.

Cory Haas would rebound from a disappointing evening at the Williams Grove Speedway by securing a top five finish at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, April 27th. Haas not only earned a victory during his respective heat race at the Pigeon Hills ovals, but the York native would go on to finish fourth (4th) during the 25-lap, $3,200-to-win, ‘410’ sprint car main event. Cory Haas now sits seventh (7th) in the current Lincoln Speedway ‘410’ driver standings entering this weekend’s events. The ‘11C’ also sits seventh (7th) in the updated Central PA sprint car standings; on the strength of one (1) ‘410’ victory in 2013.

Action for Cory Haas picks back up this Friday and Saturday, May 3rd & 4th, in Central Pennsylvania. The Barshinger/Haas duo will make their way to the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday, May 3rd for a regular night of ‘410’ racing action. Haas will then round out his upcoming weekend with Saturday evening, May 4th action at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway. The Pigeon Hills oval will host the annual ‘Weldon Sterner Memorial’ this Saturday evening featuring the ‘410’ sprint cars. Haas is still winless at the Lincoln 3/8’s mile oval in 2013; and hopes to find victory lane this Saturday evening.
