Cory Haas Finishes Inside Top Ten During First ‘Grove’ Appearance of 2013

Mechanicsburg, PA (March 29th, 2013) – York, Pennsylvania’s Cory Haas earned a top ten finish at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania earlier this evening, March 29th, during the facility’s first event of the 2013 season. The former ‘358’ sprint car champion at the world famous half-mile started tenth in tonight’s 25 lap, ‘410’ sprint car main event; and would charge two spots to secure an eighth place finish in the final rundown. The pilot of the Michael Barshinger Builder, Embee & Son, Inc., York P-B Truss, Inc,. ‘11C’ earned a starting spot in Friday night’s main event by finishing second during his respective heat race. Fred Rahmer was the Williams Grove Speedway ‘Opening Night’ winner. There were 29 ‘410’ sprint cars signed in for competition earlier this evening.
Cory Haas, and the entire Mike Barshinger owned ‘11C’ team, will be back in action tomorrow night, Saturday, March 30th, at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania for the annual ‘410 Sprint Car Spring Championship.’ Haas has earned two consecutive top ten finishes at the Pigeon Hills oval, and continues to seek out his first win of the 2013 season.
