York, PA (June 3rd, 2014) – Cory Haas is inching closer and closer towards that first feature victory of 2014. Despite luck going in both directions for the former ‘358’ sprint phenom, Haas still manages to push forward and put himself in position to win. The pilot of the Michael Barshinger Builder, Embee & Son, Inc, York P-B Truss, Inc., Thornton Chevrolet, Tailgaters Grill & Drafthouse, no. 11C ‘410’ sprint car will have two more opportunities to do so this weekend as action continues in ‘Pennsylvania Posse’ territory.

Cory Haas will make a visit to the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania this Friday evening, June 6th. The world famous half-mile oval will host two open wheel classes this Friday night; including the ‘410’ sprinters and the URC ‘360’ sprints. Haas finished second (2nd) during feature competition last Friday evening at ‘The Grove.’ The former Jack Gunn Memorial champion now finds himself fourteenth (14th) in the championship chase; just 230 points shy of breaking the top-ten. Haas will enter the Williams Grove Speedway gates Friday night in search of improving his recent result by one position.

Action will resume for Cory Haas during the upcoming weekend on Saturday evening, June 7th when he visits the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. The Daryl Gohn/Glenn Gohn Sr. Memorial will be the featured program at the Pigeon Hills oval on Saturday night. Haas finished thirteenth (13th) and twelfth (12th) during double-feature action last Saturday at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway. The former speedweek winner at Lincoln finished 13th during the rescheduled Hilly Rife Memorial main event; all before finishing 12th during the evening’s regular program feature. Haas finds himself well inside the top-ten of the current speedway standings heading into this weekend’s action.

On a special note, Cory Haas will be featured on Don Gamble’s “Rappin’ On Racin’” racing talk show next Monday evening, June 9th at approximately 7:30PM. The show can be heard every Monday from 6:00PM to 9:00PM on their website: www.speedwayproductions.biz. All of the shows are also archived; which are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Michael Barshinger ‘11C’ team will enter the upcoming weekend seventeenth (17th) in the current SPEEDWAY MOTORS/CHAMPION RACING OIL CENTRAL PA SPRINT CARS Presented by HOSEHEADS point standings with 134 points. Cory Haas, a former eight-time Williams Grove Speedway/Lincoln Speedway ‘358’ sprint car track champion, completed the 2013 season twelfth (12th) in the final Central Pennsylvania standings. Haas had one victory last season.
