BUTLER, Pa. (September 16, 2024) – Despite his initial plans getting the boot to Mother Nature (scheduled to visit Southern Illinois Raceway in Marion, Illinois, which was eventually canceled), Butler, Pennsylvania’s Cullen Hutchison made of the most of his weather-induced predicament, immediately switching focus to the Hoosier State for a pair of starts at Miami County Raceway in Peru, Indiana, and US 24 Speedway in Logansport, Indiana, on Friday and Saturday, September 13-14.
Despite the rapid destination change, the 12-year-old did well to adjust, concluding their two-day visit to Indiana’s heartland with 11th and fifth-place finishes, respectively, all of which highlighted with the Non-Wing top-five at US 24.
Competition was deep in their trip to Indiana, as there were 39 Outlaw Non Wing micros in action at Miami and 36 Non-Wing micros at US 24.
“Happy for our team. Friday was definitely challenging, but we improved a lot on Saturday. Sam Johnson at Sam Johnson Racing has made this process so easy and we’re privileged to be associated with him,” Cullen Hutchison, driver of the Open Joist, E2 Apparel, Classic Ink USA, Sam Johnson Racing, Royal Chassis, Lockhart Raceway, No. 83 micro sprint, said. “We’re still new and we’re still learning. Not sure that process ever really stops, but our comfort level will gradually get better and better. Big results are ahead for us. I’m ready for the next one.”

Cullen Hutchison and Hutchison Motorsports will continue their 2024 season with visits to Wayne County Speedway in Wayne City, Illinois, and Coles County Speedway in Mattoon, Illinois, on Friday and Saturday, September 20-21.
