When it was all said and done, the “Steel City Outlaw” Tim Shaffer, was the man on top of the podium; capturing the 20th annual Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup featuring The World of Outlaws at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Its safe to say that Tim Shaffer acted as the lead role all night in the dirt oval performance; grabbing the runner-up honors in the first 30 lapper – all before winning the second 30 lap event. Dale Blaney, a past All-Star Circuit of Champions titlist, picked up the first feature event win. Unfortunately, team Fully Injected had an evening not worth writing home about.

Brandon Matus, the youngster out of Wampum, Pennsylvania and local standout, made the Silver Cup A-main by way of track provisional. During the second A-main 30 lapper, the Fully Injected endorsed “Wheelman” would be involved in a horrific accident that would see him, along with Butler native, Brian Ellenberger, get upside-down on the front straightaway. Luckily, Brandon walked away uninjured and only suffers from a sore neck.

Danny Holtgraver would also have an evening not for the books. After drawing a high pill, causing him to have to time deep within the 3rd set of qualifying, the Pittsburgh native would struggle during his lap on the clock, causing him to have to start deep within his heat race. Danny would fail to transfer from his heat, and eventually fail to make it out of the B-main. The Fully Injected teammates will be back in action this weekend on the local scene. They will have 2 days to forget,  regroup, and hopefully, find victory lane next weekend!
