Danny Dietrich 13th in WoO DIRTcar Nationals finale, sets aim on Lincoln Speedway’s Icebreaker doubleheader

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (February 10, 2025) – With Danny Dietrich’s annual Florida campaign officially in the books, the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native will now turn his focus back to the Keystone State, set to launch Pennsylvania’s sprint car season with the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway’s annual Icebreaker set for Saturday and Sunday, February 22-23. The weekend doubleheader, awarding $5,000 each, will feature afternoon start times with action kicking off at 3 p.m.
As noted, Dietrich will roll into Lincoln Speedway’s annual Icebreaker fresh off of a busy Sunshine State campaign, most recently joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in four days of DIRTcar Nationals competition at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida, on February 5-8. Although shy of matching their ASCS National success, “Double-D” and Gary Kauffman Racing did manage to conclude their World of Outlaws stretch with a solid outcome, finishing 13th in the weekend finale after lining up on the outside of row ten.
Dietrich was unable to qualify for main event action in his first three World of Outlaws appearances.
“Not a lot to say, just wasn’t our week,” Dietrich, ace of the Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Speedway Volkswagen & Subaru, Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, RV 4 Wheel Drive & Performance, No. 48 sprint car, noted. “Some things just didn’t go our way, but you’ll have that. It was a great trip regardless and we were excited to get back to Volusia. We’ll turn our focus back to Pennsylvania and be ready for the Icebreaker next weekend.”
