GETTYSBURG, PA (January 23, 2018) – Danny Dietrich, the 2017 Central PA Sprint Series presented by Hoseheads.com champion, will kick-off his 2018 season with a trip to Florida, set to join the All Star Circuit of Champions and World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series for a grand total of eight events at two facilities. The near-two week trip will activate officially with All Star Circuit of Champions competition at the Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida.
“This will give us the jump that we need,” Danny Dietrich explained, pilot of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Gsell’s Whitetails/Hickory Run Orchards/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48. “Racing in Florida gives us the opportunity to get eight starts in before the schedule gets going closer to home. This is my first time heading to Florida with Gary Kauffman since we made the trip in 2014, so I’m excited to get down there and turn some laps.”
Dietrich’s Florida stint will begin with five nights of All Star Circuit of Champions competition, first joining “America’s Series” during action at Bubba Raceway Park on Thursday, February 1, through Saturday, February 3. Action will continue across Route 40 where Tony Stewart’s All Stars will invade Volusia Speedway Park near Barberville for the 47th Annual DIRTcar Nationals on Wednesday and Thursday, February 7-8.
Once All Star action is complete, Dietrich will join the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series for their portion of the DIRTcar Nationals schedule on Friday, February 9, through Sunday, February 11. “Double-D” earned one top-ten finish during World of Outlaws competition at Volusia in 2017, his first of four top-ten finishes against the Greatest Show On Dirt last season.
