Danny Dietrich eyes Tuscarora 50 title
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (September 2, 2025) – “Double-D” Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing (GKR) have won just about everything there is to win in Central Pennsylvania, all except for Port Royal Speedway’s Crown Jewel – the Tuscarora 50.
Dietrich, an 11-time winner in 2025, will work to change that negative statistic this weekend, as Port’s coveted season-ending program featuring High Limit Racing blasts off Thursday, September 4. Saturday’s Tuscarora 50 finale, featuring a 50-lap main event awarding $58,000, will also cap off the track’s 2025 season.
Although shy of victory in his most recent weekend stretch, Dietrich and GKR will roll into Tuscarora 50 weekend with plenty of momentum on their side, earning four straight top-fives including three consecutive runner-up results, the most recent highlight occurring in the second day of Lincoln Speedway’s Labor Day Duel on August 31 – finishing fourth from sixth on the grid. Dietrich’s three straight runner-ups occurred at BAPS Motor Speedway on August 27, Williams Grove Speedway on August 29, and Lincoln Speedway on August 30.
“We don’t like finishing second, but still a weekend to be proud of…for the most part,” Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Speedway Volkswagen & Subaru, Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, RV 4 Wheel Drive & Performance, No. 48 sprint car, said. “Our eyes are on the Tuscarora 50. It’s a race I’ve never won, but we hope to change that soon.”
