GETTYSBURG, Pa. (September 9, 2019) – Danny Dietrich put together an impressive weekend in Central Pennsylvania with the All Star Circuit of Champions, nearly attaining his 15th victory of the 2019 season, twice.
Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48 sprint car, joined the traveling All Stars on Thursday through Saturday, September 5-7, first making an appearance at Bedford Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania. The trip west proved well worth the effort for the Gettysburg-native, rallying from 13th to finish fifth, as well as clinching the evening’s Hard Charger Award for advancing the most positions.
Port Royal Speedway’s historic Tuscarora 50 was next for Dietrich on his weekend road trip, entering Friday’s ‘Night Before The Tuscarora 50,’ as well as Saturday’s $52,000-to-win, Tuscarora 50 finale. ‘Double-D’ capped his visit to the ‘Speed Palace’ with 11th and fourth place finishes, respectively, advancing a combined 12 positions over the course of two features, highlighting both starts with a fourth place outcome during the 50-lap Tuscarora 50.
“I thought we were pretty good all weekend. It was a great effort by everyone,” Danny Dietrich said, who owns 14 wins in 2019, including two against Tony Stewart’s All Stars. “We had a lot of our partners there with us this weekend including Derek from Sweeney, Pace and Self Made. To perform that well with him in town is really special.”
Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2019 campaign with a monster weekend in Central Pennsylvania, first chasing the $5,000 Dirt Classic Qualifier at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, September 13. If that was not enough, $20,000 will be up for grabs during the Jim Nace Memorial/National Open at Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday, September 14.
