Danny Dietrich Will Prep for Outlaw Invasion with Williams Grove “Tune-Up”
BAPS Night at Lincoln worth $5,000 on May 14
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (May 10, 2016) – The month of May will officially hit high gear for Gettysburg’s Danny Dietrich this Friday and Saturday, all set to compete in two events with an overall winner’s share nearing the five-digit mark. The pair of Central Pennsylvania programs will not only award high dollar paydays, but also act as perfect opportunities for testing and tuning, just in time for the first World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series invasion of the 2016 season. The “Greatest Show on Dirt” will make their 2016 Pennsylvania debut on Wednesday, May 18, at Lincoln Speedway, followed by a Williams Grove Speedway doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, May 20-21.
“We have a lot to ready ourselves for, so we’ll be sure to take advantage of the upcoming weekend,” explained Danny Dietrich. “We always want to be at our best when the World of Outlaws come to town. We’ve been successful against the series on multiple occasions in the past. Our mindset and goals haven’t changed. We’ll work to get back up front.”
Danny Dietrich, pilot of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Hickory Run Orchards, Weikert’s Livestock, Carlisle Auto Salvage, CATS Used Truck Parts, No. 48, will ignite his ‘test and tune’ weekend on Friday evening, May 13, during the Williams Grove Speedway “Outlaw Tune-Up.” The $4,000-to-win program will feature a World of Outlaws format, complete with time trials, heat races, dash, and 25-lap main event.
The upcoming weekend will continue on Saturday evening, May 14, at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. BAPS Night, awarding a $5,000 payday, will be the last opportunity for Lincoln Speedway regulars to test their equipment before the World of Outlaws invade for the Gettysburg Clash on Wednesday, May 18. Dietrich’s most recent Lincoln Speedway result was an 11th place finish during feature action on Saturday, May 7.
“We have some things to work on, but we’ll be ready for the weekend,” said Danny Dietrich. “We tried a few things at Lincoln Speedway last weekend which obviously didn’t work in our favor. Our game plan right now is to go back to square one and mold around that. We have a ton of potential and a ton of speed, we just haven’t had a chance to really harness all of that together, consistently. We’ll be ready by the time the Outlaws get here.”
