Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing Prepare for Three Race Weekend in Ohio
Attica, Wayne County and Millstream On Tap for ‘59’ Team

Pittsburgh, PA (May 27th, 2015) – Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing will continue their 2015 campaign with a second consecutive three race weekend; set to join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and the All Star Circuit of Champions in various parts of Ohio. The familiar ‘59’ team will visit three tracks over a three day period during the upcoming weekend. Despite the struggle to keep momentum on their side, Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing will enter the three day swing full of confidence and ready to capture that first win as a pair.
“We’ve struggled some but we’ll work through it” said Danny Holtgraver, “We have a ton of potential and results show that on some nights…other nights we miss it…it takes time for new teams to grow and get comfortable…regardless, Tom and Sherry Leidig gave me a great opportunity this year and the experience has been great…the entire team works hard and that will pay off soon…we’ll keep our confidence up keep working hard.”
Danny Holtgraver and the Phoenix Racing, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, DKW Transport, Auto Electric of Jupiter, Florida, Southern Pacific Farms, ‘59’ team will launch the upcoming weekend on Friday evening, May 29th at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. Holtgraver is a former winner at the Attica bullring during All Star competition, and will join the ‘Outlaws’ on Friday for the $10,000-to-win ‘Kistler Engines Classic’ in search of a repeat occurrence.
On Saturday evening, May 30th, Holtgraver will venture east from Attica, Ohio to the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native will join the All Star Circuit of Champions on Saturday evening at the Orrville oval. Holtgraver will enter the evening sixth in the current All Star Circuit of Champions point standings; recently finishing sixth with the series at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio on Sunday, May 24th. Phoenix Racing has accumulated four top-five and seven top-ten finishes with the All Star Circuit of Champions thus far this season.
The upcoming weekend will come to a conclusion for Phoenix Racing on Sunday evening, May 31st at the recently reopened Millstream Speedway near Findlay, Ohio. The Sunday night season opening program for Millstream Speedway will be sanctioned by the All Star Circuit of Champions; the first of three appearances at the venue by the All Star series in 2015.
“Another big weekend ahead for us but we are ready to go” explained Holtgraver, “We are heading into the busy part of the season and we will work to capitalize on that…still plenty of All Star schedule left…we want to earn a few solid finishes this weekend and get some momentum…we’ve been struggling in that area but a big weekend can help change that.”
Holtgraver’s most recent results with the All Star Circuit of Champions include a 17th place finish at the Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Indiana on Friday, May 22nd, followed by a an 18th place finish at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio on Saturday, May 23rd. Phoenix Racing rebounded on Sunday evening, May 24th with a sixth place performance back at the Fremont Speedway.
