Danny Holtgraver Earns First All Star Win of 2014;
Pittsburgh Native Holds Off Kemenah and Lee Jacobs for Butler Speedway Win
Pittsburgh, PA (June 8th, 2014) – Danny Holtgraver earned his first UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions victory of the 2014 season on Saturday evening, June 7th at the Butler Speedway in Quincy, Michigan. Holtgraver, who follows the UNOH All Star trail full-time in 2014, held off former World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series regular, Chad Kemenah, and two-time UNOH All Star winner in 2014, Lee Jacobs, for the $5,000 triumph. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native now has four (4) total victories thus far during his 2014 campaign; one (1) at Butler Speedway, one (1) at Mercer Raceway Park and two (2) at Lernerville Speedway.
“It feels amazing to get that first All Star win of the year” said Holtgraver, “We’ve had some up and down weekends lately…but this definitely makes up for it…I just want to thank everyone on this Hunter Racing team…my Dad, Barman, Earl, Pup, Rob; especially Rob Hunter…he gave me a great opportunity this year, which allows me to do what I love to do every weekend…i’m glad we can park this ‘10H’ in victory lane to pay him back!”
Holtgraver, who pilots the Hunter Racing, Berlin Natural Bakery, Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, Alternative Power Sources, WestView Motors, DKW Transport, no. 10H ‘410’ sprint car, had a near perfect evening with the UNOH All Stars in Quincy, Michigan on Saturday night. The former Lernerville Speedway track champion recorded the sixth fastest time of the night during qualifying time trials. Holtgraver would go on to earn a victory during his respective heat race; all before finishing fourth (4th) during the evening’s UNOH All Star dash. After having to initially start from the outside of the second row, Holtgraver would earn a main event front row starting position due to the outside pole sitter jumping the initial start. From the front row, Holtgraver would go on to earn the $5,000 UNOH All Star victory at Butler Speedway.
“We were supposed to start on the outside of the second row for the feature, but the outside pole sitter jumped the start, so we got to move up a row” explained Danny Holtgraver, “Sometimes little things like that can make or break a night…getting to move up a row definitely didn’t hurt us…the car was strong all night…I’d like to think we were strong enough to win from just about anywhere…hopefully we can use this win as a big momentum changer and keep things rolling in the right direction…I just want to thank everyone again…feels amazing end a weekend with a win!”
