Danny Holtgraver Ends ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ with Five Top-Ten Finishes
PPMS, Waynesfield, Attica and Mercer Next-Up on the B&R Racing Agenda

Pittsburgh, PA (June 30th, 2013) – After spending the last nine (9) days on the road racing with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions during the 31st Annual ‘Ohio Sprint Weekend’ tour, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, Danny Holtgraver, would return home with five (5) consecutive top-ten finishes; including three (3) top five appearances. The 31st Annual ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ schedule, which originally consisted of eight (8) ‘410’ sprint car events over a nine (9) day stretch at seven (7) different racing facilities across Ohio from June 21st through 29th, would have to battle Mother Nature for the entire second-half of the tour; resulting in two (2) speedweek cancellations. The 2013 ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ travelers would finish the week racing six (6) of the eight (8) scheduled events.

When all was said and done, Danny Holtgraver and his Canton Erectors, Berlin Natural Bakery, Alternative Power Sources, DKW Transport, no. 45 ‘410’ sprint car team would qualify for all six (6) speedweek main events and earn five (5) top-ten finishes during those six main events; with three (3) of those top-ten appearances being within the top-five. Danny Holtgraver’s worst finish of the week came at the 2013 ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ finale at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio on Saturday, June 29th. Holtgraver would be scored 19th during the ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ finale; resulting from a broken front axle was running close to the front. ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ results for Danny Holtgraver and the B&R Racing ‘45’ include an 8th at Attica Raceway Park on June 21st; 7th at Eldora Speedway on June 22nd; 4th at Waynesfield Raceway Park on June 23rd; 3rd at Wayne County Speedway on June 24th; 2nd at Limaland Motorsports Park on June 28th; and 19th at Fremont Speedway on June 29th. The Western Pennsylvania native would end the week inside the top three (3) of the final ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ standings.

After Danny Holtgraver makes a Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway appearance on Sunday, June 30th in his father’s Kistler Racing no. D4 ‘410’ sprint car, racing will resume for Danny Holtgraver and the B&R Racing, Canton Erectors, Berlin Natural Bakery, no. 45 sprint car team this Wednesday evening, July 3rd at the Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio for the 2nd Annual ‘Bob Reynolds Memorial’ for the ‘360’ powered sprint cars. The 2013 ‘Bob Reynolds Memorial’ event will pay $7,000 to the winner of the ‘360’ sprint car main event; making it the largest paying ‘360’ sprint car race in the tri-state area. Danny Holtgraver has had much success racing a 360 cubic inch sprint car during his 2013 campaign. The 23-year-old earned the ‘King of the 360s’ victory at the East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida for $10,000 earlier this season; as well as earned a Patriot Sprint Tour main event win at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania for $2,000. Once action at the Waynesfield Raceway Park is complete, Danny Holtgraver will switch his attention to the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio for ‘Kears Speed Shop/Fan Appreciation Night’ on Friday evening, July 5th. The Friday night program will be a non-sanctioned, regular racing event at the Attica high-banked oval. Holtgraver has one (1) victory at the Attica Raceway Park in 2013; that taking shape during Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) competition earlier in the season. Danny Holtgraver will return to UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions competition this Saturday evening, July 6th at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. This rescheduled UNOH All Star racing event, which was originally postponed due to inclement weather conditions, will award $5,000 to the main event winner; as well as UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions’ points towards the ‘National’ and ‘Ohio Region’ standings. Danny Holtgraver will enter the Mercer Raceway Park, July 6th event inside the top three (3) of the current UNOH All Star ‘Ohio Region’ standings, as well as inside the top three (3) of the current UNOH All Star ‘National’ standings. The former Lernerville Speedway sprint car track champion has three (3) victories at the Mercer 3/8’s mile oval in 2013; two (2) during ‘410’ sprint car competition, and one (1) during ‘360’ sprint car competition.
