AUSTRALIA (December 22nd, 2014) – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native Danny Holtgraver made his first sprint car start on Australian soil during the recent weekend; taking part in action at the Premier Speedway near Warrnambool, Australia on Saturday, December 20th. Holtgraver, who arrived ‘Down Under’ just two days before his first start, finished seventh during B-main competition on December 20th; just one spot shy of an A-main qualifying position.

“That place was unreal” said Danny Holtgraver when asked about his first start at Premier, “We qualified really well, but we weren’t that great in the heat races…we ran well in the C-main and B-main, but ended up one spot short of the ‘A’…we’ll be back here a few times this year…we’ll use our notes and hopefully work our way towards the front…I just want to thank Reeve Kruck for this opportunity…it really hasn’t even sunk in yet that I am racing in Australia.”

The former Lernerville Speedway track champion and UNOH All Star winner qualified 11th out of 60 cars at Premier Speedway. Unfortunately, bad heat race finishes would keep Holtgraver from automatically qualifying for the A-main. The pilot of the Titan Garages and Carports, Titan Steel Buildings, Australian Roller Doors, no. 36 sprint car would end his night during B-main competition; where he charged from 16th to finish 7th.

Danny Holtgraver, Reeve Kruck and Crew Chief Bingo Jenkins will be back in action this Friday, December 26th. The Titan Garages and Carports team will join the World Series of Sprintcars on December 26th at Speedway City. Holtgraver will participate in the entire World Series of Sprintcars speedweek; which includes five races in seven days from December 26th until January 1st.
