AUSTRALIA (January 4th, 2015) – After finishing seventh with the World Series Sprintcars (WSS) on New Year’s Day at the Premier Speedway near Warrnambool, Danny Holtgraver of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania would earn a second consecutive top-ten finish with Australia’s elite at the Archerfield Speedway near Archerfield, Australia on Sunday, January 4th. Holtgraver, who will pilot the Reeve Kruck owned, Titan Garages and Carports, Titan Steel Buildings, Australian Roller Doors, no. Q36 sprint car during his entire Australian tour, finished tenth officially on Sunday during WSS round six; giving the American three top-ten finishes during his first six World Series Sprintcars starts. Defending World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series champion Donny Schatz was the victor at Archerfield.
Holtgraver, the former Lernerville Speedway track champion, started the Archerfield main event 13th on the grid; earning three positions during the thirty-lap main event to solidify himself back inside the top ten. Holtgraver started the evening by earning the 15th fastest time during qualifying time trials. The Pittsburgh native finished fourth and second during heat race competition; locking the Titan Garages team into the main event. There were 25 teams entered for competition at Archerfield Speedway.
Danny Holtgraver and the entire Titan Garages and Carports ‘Q36’ operation will return to competition on Friday and Saturday, January 9th and 10th for Round Seven of World Series of Sprintcars. The two-day event known as the ‘Australian Open’ will feature some of the most talented sprint car drivers from all over the world. Donny Schatz is the defending event winner; earning $20,000 for his title.
After six rounds of World Series Sprintcars action, Danny Holtgraver finds himself tenth in the series standings.
