Danny Holtgraver Will Continue All Star Campaign Thursday through Sunday, Will Work to Rebound After Frustrating Knoxville Trip
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
PITTSBURGH (August 17, 2016) – After a disappointing Knoxville Raceway campaign, resulting in a mechanical failure while leading the 56th Annual Knoxville Nationals D-main, “Downtown” Danny Holtgraver will move forward and reset his focus toward Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition, ready to visit areas of Central Pennsylvania and Upstate New York for four consecutive nights of open wheel action.
Holtgraver, who highlighted his Knoxville Nationals campaign with the fifth fastest time during preliminary time trials, will visit Grandview Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and Lebanon Valley Speedway, in that specific order, this Thursday through Sunday, August 18-21, chasing more marks for the win column.
“Our Knoxville trip didn’t really go as planned. It started out really well, we just had a little bit of trouble keeping things going. Those things happen. You have to capitalize every time you are on the track out there. We timed well and had a great jump in our heat race, but it ended up getting called back. That’s kinda where our bad luck started,” Holtgraver explained. “To make matters worse, we ended up losing our motorhome to a fire while we were at the racetrack. The amount of support from people that stepped forward to help us out after that happened was overwhelming. I can’t thank those people enough. Everyone from track officials, to other teams, to sponsors, to race fans; I can’t thank you all enough for lending a hand when it was in need. We all greatly appreciate it.”
Danny Holtgraver will enter the Central Pennsylvania/New York swing with two Arctic Cat All Star victories in 2016, as well as 11 top-five finishes in 28 feature starts. The pilot of Pete Grove’s Premier Motorsports/Premier Pallets/Linc Systems/Bonnell’s Rod Shop/DKW Transport/No. 70 owns victories at Wilmot Raceway (WI) and Sharon Speedway (OH).
