Pittsburgh, PA (September 15th, 2014) – After spending the recent weekend competing in central Pennsylvania with the famed ‘Pennsylvania Posse,’ Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native Danny Holtgraver will switch gears, and hop back on the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series trail for two consecutive nights of competition this Friday and Saturday, September 19th and 20th. Holtgraver, who pilots the Hunter Racing, Berlin Natural Bakery, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, Alternative Power Sources, WestView Motors, DKW Transport, no. 10H ‘410’ sprinter, will visit the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio this Friday night, September 19th; followed up with a visit to the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Saturday, September 20th. The seven-time main event winner in 2014 owns victories at both facilities this season, and will aim to earn a career-first World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series victory this Friday and Saturday.

“We’ve been pretty consistent lately; definitely what we need heading into a weekend like this one coming up” said Holtgraver, “We are always excited to get back to Eldora, and obviously really excited to get back to Lernerville…we’ve been good at both places this year, and we’ve been fortunate enough to get to victory lane at both places, as well…this team has been working hard all season long and it shows…hopefully we can hit our marks Friday and Saturday and get that first ‘Outlaw’ win.”

Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio will host ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ this Friday evening, September 19th as the opener to their ‘4-Crown Nationals’ weekend. The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series will kick-off the ‘4-Crown Nationals’ two-day program before the stars and cars of all three USAC divisions invade on Saturday night. Holtgraver, who owns one victory at the ‘Big E’ during UNOH All Star competition in 2014, will make his sixth Eldora Speedway start of the season this Friday night, and fifth during WoO competition. Mix that level of seat time with any level of consistency, and one may have a real winning combination. In fact, during recent action, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native has not finished outside of the top-five during his last three starts; creating just the right amount of momentum needed before making a big trip west to Rossburg.

“Scoring three top-five finishes in a row really does a lot for this race team…especially in central Pennsylvania” explained Holtgraver, “The competition in central Pennsylvania is basically ‘Outlaw’ caliber…momentum and confidence is important, and having a recent stretch like this improves both of those…we’ll go to Eldora with the same attitude and hopefully it benefits us…I just want to thank Rob Hunter and this entire team…they are the ones that make everything possible…we deserve a big win soon!”

Danny Holtgraver will continue his upcoming ‘Outlaw’ weekend on Saturday evening, September 20th at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania during the ‘Commonwealth Clash.’ ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ will invade the Sarver 4/10’s mile dirt oval for the second time in 2014; bringing along some of the toughest competition in the country including current series point leader, Donny Schatz. Holtgraver, who is a former Lernerville Speedway track champion and two-time winner at the facility in 2014, was involved in an on-track incident during his last Lernerville Speedway start against World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series competition, and will look for a little redemption this Saturday night.

“We had a pretty rough night at the Silver Cup in July…that’s how racing goes sometimes” said Holtgraver, “We are ready to get back to Lernerville…getting to race in front of our home track fans is really exciting…a lot of my family and a lot of our sponsors will be there, too…makes the entire night extra special…we’ll go in there with the right mindset and hopefully give those guys a run for their money.”

During recent sprint car competition, Danny Holtgraver and Hunter Racing scored a top-five finish at the Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania on Saturday, September 13th. Holtgraver finished third, officially during the 44-lap/$12,000-to-win ‘Jim Nace Memorial/National Open.’ As an added bonus, the pilot of the Hunter Racing ‘10H’ set the fastest time of the night during ‘410’ qualifying time trials around the Selinsgrove Speedway half-mile to open up the one-day program. Greg Hodnett was the $12,000 victor.
