GETTYSBURG, Pa. (August 12, 2024) – Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing did their best to qualify for the 50-lap Knoxville Nationals finale on Saturday, August 10, and despite all attempts, they were a tad short, capping their four-day campaign 16th in Saturday’s B-Main, transferring through the evening’s C-Main just prior.
Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Derek Snyder & Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, No. 48 sprint car, launched his Knoxville Nationals preliminary effort with a 16th-place score in Wednesday’s A-Main, and although a sound finish, he was just short of a “lock in” spot forcing the Gettysburg native to Friday’s Hard Knox. Dietrich raced on to finish 15th in the last chance A-Main, setting up his eventual C-Main start for Saturday.
Nonetheless, Dietrich is already home and ready to get back to work, setting aim on a Central Pennsylvania/Ohio/New York trio on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 16-18; all still to be determined.
“We had a great trip to Knoxville. Made the best of it despite missing the A,” Dietrich, a ten-time winner in 2024, said. “Just a big thanks to Gary Kauffman and all of our partners for giving us the opportunity to go out there and compete. It’s the toughest race in the country. All we can do now is reset to get back at it this weekend.”

Weather pending, Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with a routine campaign in the Keystone State, set to visit Williams Grove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, and Selinsgrove Speedway in consecutive fashion Friday through Sunday, August 16-18. Schedule could change pending forecast with visits to Sharon Speedway, Lincoln Speedway and Utica-Rome Speedway also in the mix.
