Dietrich earns Lou Blaney Memorial title; All eyes on the Knoxville Nationals

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (August 4, 2025) – Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing (GKR) launched their long trip west to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, with a quick stop in Hartford, Ohio, joining the region’s finest for the annual Lou Blaney Memorial on Saturday, August 2. The Buckeye State pitstop proved beneficial to the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, ace, concluding the highly-anticipated program with a main event triumph, as well as a $13,000 payday.

Forced to do things the hard way, Dierich’s feature score commenced from the inside of row four, taking command officially on lap 24 before outdueling National Sprint Car Hall of Famer Dale Blaney. Although the Lou Blaney Memorial title was a first-ever for Dietrich, he’s certainly no stranger to the Buckeye State, already claiming the 2025 Ohio Sprint Speedweek championship featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions.

“Double-D” and GKR would eventually make their presence known in Knoxville, Iowa, rolling into town just in time for Sunday’s Capitani Classic. Dietrich’s momentum would prove vital, qualifying for A-Main action soon thereafter and finishing 14th.

“Just a great way to launch our trip west, that’s for sure,” Dietrich said. “We’ve always been really comfortable at Sharon, so when we started to mold our schedule together, we made it a point to get to the Lou Blaney Memorial. Happy to get a win for Derek Snyder. A dear friend and a great supporter. We’ll work to do it again at Knoxville.”
