GETTYSBURG, Pa. (July 8, 2019) – Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing capped off the 2019 edition of Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek in tremendous fashion, not only finishing third in the final Speedweek standings, but the Gettysburg-native captured six top-ten finishes in the process, highlighting all starts with a third place finish during the first of two Port Royal Speedway appearances on Wednesday evening, July 3.
In addition to his podium run, Dietrich finished sixth during the Williams Grove Speedway opener, eighth during his Lincoln Speedway visit on July 1, sixth during his visit to Grandview Speedway on July 2, fourth during Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway’s program on July 4, and fourth again during Port Royal Speedway’s Speedweek finale – the Greg Hodnett Classic – on Saturday, July 6.
Perhaps his most impressive performance of the week, Dietrich’s eighth place finish at Lincoln Speedway on July 1 was the product of row 11, forced to battle through the field after winning the evening’s B-main.
“I think we were good enough to win the Speedweek title, we just put ourselves behind early by not finishing during early week starts at Lincoln and Selinsgrove. Regardless, Speedweek is not an easy task. I’m proud of my team and I’m thankful for their hard work and dedication,” Danny Dietrich explained. “We are definitely hungry for more wins. Hopefully we can put a solid weekend together when we head to New York with the All Stars.”
Keeping his month of July on the busy side, Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2019 campaign with a three-race stretch on Friday through Sunday, July 12-14, once again joining the Pennsylvania Posse, as well as the All Star Circuit of Champions. ‘Double-D’ will visit Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, capping his weekend with a two-race, All Star swing through New York on Saturday and Sunday: Orange County Fair Speedway and Lebanon Valley Speedway, respectively.
