Dietrich rallies for top-ten during Selinsgrove’s National Open; Central PA triple next

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (September 17, 2018) – Although the weekend was basically cut in half, losing Williams Grove Speedway’s main event to Mother Nature on Friday just after the field took the green, ‘Double-D’ Danny Dietrich made the best of his two-race schedule and rallied four positions on Saturday to finish ninth at Selinsgrove Speedway during the Jim Nace Memorial/National Open against the All Star Circuit of Champions. The Gettysburg native earned his way into the 30-lap program by finishing fourth during his respective heat race.
Certainly building an All Star portfolio, Dietrich now owns 13 top-ten finishes during All Star Circuit of Champions competition in 2018.
“The last few weekends haven’t been real productive, weather being most of the problem,” Dietrich explained, driver of the familiar Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Gsell’s Whitetails/Hickory Run Orchards/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48 sprint car. “We have a lot on the line this weekend. It all starts Thursday.”
Danny Dietrich will continue his 2018 campaign with a trio of starts in Central Pennsylvania, first visiting BAPS Motor Speedway for RAACE Night on Thursday, September 20. Action will resume on Friday, September 21, during Williams Grove Speedway’s World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series tune-up which will feature two main events on the evening card, one being the make-up feature that was originally lost to Mother Nature on September 14.
Dietrich’s Central Pennsylvania triple-header will conclude on Saturday, September 22, with the $25,000-to-win Dirt Classic 5 at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway. Although ‘Double-D’ has yet to win a Dirt Classic main event, he will certainly be a heavy favorite in the Pigeon Hills as Dietrich will enter the program with five Lincoln Speedway victories in 2018.
