Dietrich satisfied with World Finals results,
Will end season at Susquehanna on November 5
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
GETTYSBURG, PA (October 31, 2016) – “Double D” Danny Dietrich made the most of his first ever trip to the Bad Boy Off Road World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte near Charlotte, North Carolina; qualifying for both World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series A-main programs and finishing as high as 14th in the running order. The Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native earned his way into the pair of $12,000-to-win feature programs by qualifying through each of his respective heat races. Dietrich kicked off his weekend in the Tar Heel State by finishing 18th on Friday, October 28, followed by his 14th place performance on Saturday, October 29.
“We were pretty excited to make it through both of our heat races and qualify for the ‘A’ without having to run the ‘C’ or the ‘B,’” Dietrich explained. “It was a team effort, for sure. We really weren’t sure what to expect, but we did some research and tried to be as prepared as possible. We had a great time. I think we had the potential to finish a little higher than where we did, but we’ll take these results and head into Susquehanna with a positive attitude.”
Dietrich, pilot of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Hickory Run Orchards, Weikert’s Livestock, Carlisle Auto Salvage, CATS Used Truck Parts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, No. 48 entry, will conclude his 2016 campaign with one last event in Central Pennsylvania, this time visiting the Susquehanna Speedway near York Haven, Pennsylvania, for the $5,000-to-win Sprint Showdown. “Double-D” is a two-time main event winner at the recently revamped Central Pennsylvania facility; two of his nine victories on the season.
“Anytime you have an opportunity to race at a facility where you’ve won at is motivating,” Danny Dietrich said. “Winning on Saturday would be a big way to end the year, not only for payout reasons, but that would push us to the double-digit win mark for the season. I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work and dedication this year. We’ve had a long, long year. I think we’ve accomplished a lot and I owe it all to those guys, but I think ending the season with a win would be perfect.”
