GETTYSBURG, Pa. (July 30, 2019) – ‘Double-D’ Danny Dietrich represented his Central Pennsylvania fanbase well during the recent weekend, not only qualifying for back-to-back World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series main events during the annual Summer Nationals program at Williams Grove Speedway, but the Gettysburg-native finished inside the top-ten during both outings, highlighting all starts with a fifth place finish on Friday, July 26.

Missing a second consecutive top-five performance by two positions, Danny Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48 sprint car, ended his Summer Nationals campaign with a seventh place finish during the $20,000-to-win finale on Saturday, July 27.

Including his Summer Nationals outcomes, Dietrich owns five top-ten finishes during World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competition in 2019.

Unfortunately, Dietrich’s visit to Lernerville Speedway for the $25,000-to-win Silver Cup did not fare well, ending his evening 18th after spinning early-on during the 40-lapper.

“It was a pretty solid weekend for our team. Obviously, any time the Outlaws are in town we want to perform well and contend for a win. I think we were capable of winning both of those shows at Williams Grove. Things just didn’t work out that way for us,” Danny Dietrich explained, who owns one World of Outlaws victory in 2019, one of 12 total victories this season. “Regardless, I’m proud of my team and I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish this week. We have a lot on our schedule the next two weeks. We’ll see what happens.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will attempt to perform the ultimate triple-header during the coming weekend, first returning to Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, August 2, for the annual Billy Kimmel Memorial, followed by the $10,000-to-win Dream Race at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, August 3.

With a 14-hour journey separating himself from the third and final night of his triple-header weekend, Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will cap-off his three-race sweep with the Capitani Classic at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Sunday, August 4. Dietrich will use ‘The Capi’ as a test session for the upcoming Knoxville Nationals.
