GETTYSBURG, Pa. (July 19, 2021) – Danny Dietrich’s last minute decision to join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for the annual Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park, and the double Kings Royal program at Eldora Speedway, certainly paid off, ultimately translating four main event starts into a pair of top-ten finishes, each of which taking shape during Kings Royal main event action. Needless to say, it was a career weekend for the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania-native, ready to use his momentum boost for the annual Williams Grove Speedway Summer Nationals on Friday and Saturday, July 23-24.

After a 13th-place score during Attica’s Brad Doty Classic on July 13, earning his way into the $10,000-to-win dance via third-place finish during his respective heat race, Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Bowhunters Superstore, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, No. 48 sprint car, kicked-off Eldora Speedway competition with the $10,000-to-win Jokers Wild on Wednesday, July 14. Unfortunately, Dietrich would miss main event action, forced to surrender after failing to transfer through the evening’s C-Main.

Despite his poor start at The Big E, Dietrich persevered and represented his Pennsylvania Posse fanbase proudly, eventually earning A-Main starting positions in each of the $175,000-to-win Kings Royal main events on Saturday afternoon and evening (each contested on Saturday due to Mother Nature interference). “Double-D” went on to finish second in the 38th Annual Kings Royal on Saturday afternoon, followed by a tenth-place score during the 37th Annual Kings Royal on Saturday evening. Dietrich earned his way into each of the 40-lappers via heat race transfer positions, finishing second and third, respectively.

Technically, Dietrich finished third in the first $175,000-to-win Kings Royal, but David Gravel, who finished second, was light at the scales giving Dietrich the position.

“What a weekend. I just can’t thank everyone enough for the opportunity to be there. It wasn’t even on our schedule, but a change of heart led us there and it paid off,” Dietrich said, who owns two victories thus far in 2021, as well as a Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek championship. “I can’t thank everyone enough..Gary Kauffman, my crew, my dad and brother, all of our partners. We’re pretty fortunate to be in this position and we’re proud to give our fans back home something to be excited about. We get to battle the Outlaws on our home turf next, so we’ll aim to get one spot better this weekend.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with Williams Grove Speedway’s annual Summer Nationals on Friday and Saturday, July 23-24. The two-day World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series blockbuster will feature two, complete shows headlined with a $20,000-to-win main event on Saturday.

If plans fall into place, Dietrich will activate the week with a visit to Selinsgrove Speedway on Tuesday, July 20.
