GETTYSBURG, Pa. (September 21, 2020) – Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing put together another successful weekend in Central Pennsylvania, eventually capping their four-race swing with a pair of top-ten efforts, one of which the result of a hard-charging performance against the All Star Circuit of Champions.
After a 12-position rally to finish 12th during Lincoln’s Weldon Sterner Memorial on Wednesday, September 16, Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, No. 48 sprint car, continued his weekend with a runner-up finish during BAPS Motor Speedway’s Kevin Gobrecht Classic on Thursday, September 17. “Double-D” started tenth on the grid and made a late charge to challenge Larson with just two laps to go.
Dietrich’s second top-ten outcome of the weekend occurred during Jack Gunn Memorial action at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, September 18. The Gettysburg, Pennsylvania-native started 17th on the All Star Circuit of Champions grid and rallied ten positions to finish seventh, strong enough to earn the Hard Charger Award for advancing the most feature positions.
Unfortunately, a tangle during Lincoln’s Dirt Classic main event on Saturday, September 19, forced Dietrich to retire before the finish.
“It was a pretty good weekend for our team. I think we were good enough to win at BAPS, but came up a little short. We’ll put these races behind us and put our attention on what’s ahead,” Danny Dietrich said, a 12-time winner thus far in 2020. “I can’t thank Gary Kauffman and this entire team enough for their hard work and dedication. My guys bust their butts and I’m fortunate to have them.”
Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2020 campaign with another weekend in the Keystone State, this time setting aim on Williams Grove Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway on Friday and Saturday, September 25-26. The Grove will host a World of Outlaws Tune Up for the upcoming National Open, while Selinsgrove Speedway will host its annual National Open worth $20,000-to-win.
