Dirt Classic Indiana at Kokomo Speedway Next for T.J. Michael

FREMONT, Ohio (July 19, 2016) – Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions rookie contender T.J. Michael will continue his 2016 campaign this Friday and Saturday, July 22-23, with a visit to the Hoosier State. The “Texas Traveler” will visit Kokomo, Indiana’s very own Kokomo Speedway during the upcoming weekend, joining America’s Series for the two-day Dirt Classic Indiana worth a combined winner’s share equaling $17,500.
The Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will conduct a full point program to kick-off the weekend on Friday night, July 22, worth $5,000. The Dirt Classic Indiana format will be used on Saturday, July 23, utilizing a special passing points procedure. Saturday’s main event will award a top prize equaling $12,500.
“It’s going to be a really fun weekend. One of the best parts of traveling is getting to visit new tracks in different states,” explained Michael. “We’ve had plenty of that this year. Kokomo Speedway gets a lot of press. It has a great reputation. I’m excited to get there and see what it’s all about.”
T.J. Michael, pilot of the Advanced Cast Stone, Fremont Fence Company, Kear’s Speed Shop, Shell Shock, Hinchman Suits, Snap-On, Kistler Racing Engines, Maxim Race Cars, MJ Webb Enterprises, No. 8M, will enter the Kokomo Speedway doubleheader currently seventh in the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions standings, earning four top-ten finishes and 24 main event starts. The Plano, Texas, native, who now resides in Fremont, Ohio, also owns three hard charger awards in 2016; advancing the most positions during a main event.
Michael will enter Kokomo Speedway’s gates with a recent start against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, joining the Greatest Show On Dirt for the 33rd annual Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway. Despite not qualifying for main event competition, Michael made the most of his visit to the “Big E” and will put his notes to the test during his next visit in September.
“The best drivers in the world were at Eldora Speedway for the Kings Royal,” Michael explained. “It’s by far one of the most prestigious sprint car races the country. Just to be there says a lot about our mentality as a team and what we are striving to do. I love Eldora Speedway. I can’t wait to get back there.”

Recent Highlights: Earned a pair of top-ten finishes on June 10/11 with FAST Series and Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions.
