Don O’Neal picked up the $3,000 victory last night at USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona over Billy Moyer and Ronny Lee Hollingsworth. The 6th annual Wild West Shootout has now seen three different drivers in victory lane during the first three night’s of their 2012 schedule. (Moyer and McCreadie being the other two winners.) There were 60 cars entered in last night’s event.
The Wild West Shootout will resume competition tomorrow evening – Friday, January 20th. That event will also pay $3,000 to the winner. Tomorrow night’s action will kick-off a three race swing for the Wild West Shootout mini-series, which concludes at the end of the upcoming weekend.
The series will wrap up this Saturday and Sunday; with the Sunday night finale paying $10,000 to the winner – and $700 to start.
