ODESSA, Mo. (September 3, 2024) – An extended weekend meant an extended schedule for Doney-Lawson Racing (DLR) and the Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars, and although night one of their three-day agenda was ultimately ruined by Mother Nature (a Friday visit to I-35 Speedway in Winston, Missouri), the next two days at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri, raced on undisturbed and action-packed.
Doney-Lawson Racing, piloted by Xavier Doney and Natalie Doney, orchestrated three separate starts in each night of Lake Ozark’s “Triple Sprint Showdown” on Saturday and Sunday, August 31 and September 1; Xavier Doney entering the POWRi 410 and WAR non-wing portions of the program, with his younger sister Natalie also competing in the 410 ranks. When the dust finally settled on Sunday night, the DLR team out of Odessa, Missouri, found themselves with a stack of accomplishments, all of which highlighted with Xavier’s drive to a podium finish in Sunday’s WAR non-wing feature event; he started ninth.
Additional highlights for Xavier Doney, ace of the Schnee-Lawson Chassis, Motor Haven, Design Source Flooring, Able Group, Schaeffer’s Lubricants, Speedway Motors, No. 74 sprinter, included finishing 12th in the POWRi 410 main event on Sunday, as well as finishing seventh in Saturday’s WAR main event.
Although Natalie Doney was unable to qualify for Saturday’s POWRi 410 program, she redeemed herself to the full extent on Sunday, not only maintaining confidence and persistence, but was ultimately scored 21st. The young lady out of Odessa, who owns a recent top-ten finish in 305ci competition at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri, finished eighth in her respective heat race to launch the Lake Ozark weekend finale.

Xavier Doney finished sixth during USAC National Sprint Cars competition at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Friday, May 31. Qualified for the Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race finale at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri, on Saturday, June 8; he was scored 21st. Won WAR main event at Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa, on Friday, June 14. Xavier Doney won WAR main event at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri, on Saturday, July 6 (finished second one night prior). Finished sixth in POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint Series start at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, on Friday, July 26. Earned first-ever 410 sprint car victory at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, on Saturday, August 17.
Natalie Doney finished ninth during 305 sprint car competition at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri, on Saturday, June 1. Finished fourth during 305 sprint car action at Nevada Speedway in Nevada, Missouri, on Saturday, June 15. Finished sixth at Double-X Speedway in California, Missouri, on Sunday, June 30. Finished sixth at I-35 Speedway on Saturday, July 20. Finished third in the 305 sprint car main event at Double X Speedway on Sunday, July 21. Finished seventh in the 360 main event at Double X Speedway on Sunday, July 21. Finished eighth at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri, on August 3.
