ODESSA, Mo. (November 4, 2024) – Although their plans to conclude the 2024 season with a POWRi weekend at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri, was ultimately ruined due to Mother Nature, axing all possibility to cap the year with another trip to victory lane, Xavier Doney, Natalie Doney, Doney-Lawson Racing, and the Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars have much to reflect on, already setting aim on a major 2025 slate.
Backed by Schnee-Lawson Chassis, Motor Haven, Design Source Flooring, Able Group, and Schaeffer’s Lubricants, the Odessa, Missouri-based operation will roll into the offseason on the coattails of success including multiple POWRi non-wing WAR triumphs, the most recent of which accomplished at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, on Saturday, September 14. In fact, Xavier Doney’s WAR statistics propelled him to second in the overall championship standings, concluding the year with three victories and nine top-ten appearances in nine main event starts. In addition, Xavier earned his first-ever winged 410 sprint victory at Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday, August 17, outrunning Ayrton Gennetten and Blake Hahn in a POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint League start.
Natalie Doney, Xavier’s younger sister and teammate at Doney-Lawson Racing, who made the recent jump to the 410 sprint car ranks, also earned her fair share of accomplishments in 2024 including a slew of top-ten appearances during 305 sprint car competition. Natalie’s most recent top-ten occurred at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri, on August 3; she finished eighth.
As far as 2025, Doney-Lawson Racing plans to compete as much as possible, not only fielding a pair of winged 410 sprint cars in Xavier and Natalie, but also a non-wing car for the former. An exact plan of attack will be unveiled in the coming months.

Xavier Doney finished sixth during USAC National Sprint Cars competition at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Friday, May 31. Qualified for the Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race finale at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri, on Saturday, June 8; he was scored 21st. Won WAR main event at Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa, on Friday, June 14. Xavier Doney won WAR main event at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri, on Saturday, July 6 (finished second one night prior). Finished sixth in POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint Series start at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, on Friday, July 26. Earned first-ever 410 sprint car victory at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, on Saturday, August 17. Earned three consecutive top-tens in POWRi Outlaw Sprint starts at Lucas Oil Speedway on September 12-14. Won POWRi WAR main event at Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday, September 14. Finished sixth and third in POWRi starts at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, on Friday and Saturday, September 20-21. Finished ninth in POWRi start at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri, on Saturday, September 28.

Finished fourth during 305 sprint car action at Nevada Speedway in Nevada, Missouri, on Saturday, June 15. Finished sixth at Double-X Speedway in California, Missouri, on Sunday, June 30. Finished sixth at I-35 Speedway on Saturday, July 20. Finished third in the 305 sprint car main event at Double X Speedway on Sunday, July 21. Finished seventh in the 360 main event at Double X Speedway on Sunday, July 21. Finished eighth at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri, on August 3.
