Doney-Lawson Racing highlights weekend with podium in Granite City; POWRi’s September slate continues at Lee County and Callaway

ODESSA, Mo. (September 8, 2025) – Xavier Doney, Doney-Lawson Racing, and the Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars put it all together in their POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League double through Illinois and Missouri, concluding the weekend with not only a pair of top-ten achievements, but a podium in the process – finishing third at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois, on Friday, September 5.
Doney, a recent POWRi winner at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, started sixth in his Tri-City podium march, kicking-off preliminary competition with the fourth-fastest qualifying time, racing on to finish third in his respective heat race. Natalie Doney, Xavier’s younger sister and Doney-Lawson Racing teammate, also achieved forward progress, climbing from 22nd to 16th aboard her Design Source Flooring, Schnee-Lawson Chassis, Motor Haven, MVP Logistics, T&T Equine, Prime Composite, Steve & Mandy Griffin Family, JDLawsonMedia, Stanton Racing Engines, No. 74 sprinter.
As noted, Xavier Doney concluded his weekend with back-to-back POWRi top-tens, and although the Odessa, Missouri, native was short of matching Friday’s outcome, he was close, concluding action at Benton Speedway in Benton, Missouri, with a three-spot jump from tenth to seventh. Preliminary competition included the tenth-fastest qualifying time of 32 entries, racing on to finish third in his respective heat.
With all results considered, Xavier Doney remains third in the POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League championship standings, padded by two victories and 13 top-tens in 17 A-Main starts.

Xavier Doney, Natalie Doney, and Doney-Lawson Racing will resume their 2025 campaign with a POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League double through Iowa and Missouri, visiting Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa, and Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri, on Friday and Saturday, September 12-13.
