Double-D tenth in $200,000 Kings Royal; BAPS, Williams Grove, Selinsgrove highlight coming agenda
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (July 21, 2025) – It was a week to remember for “Double-D” Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, not only closing out their wild trek through the Midwest with four top-tens in their six-race campaign, but highlighting all competition with a top-ten in Eldora Speedway’s $200,000-to-win Kings Royal finale on Saturday, July 19. Dietrich, the reigning Ohio Sprint Speedweek champion and 2025 PA Sprint Speedweek runner-up, finished tenth in the 40-lap headliner, commencing action from the outside of row two.
Although missing Friday’s The Knight Before the Kings Royal main event and finishing 19th in High Limit’s $100,000-to-win Jokers Jackpot feature on Thursday, Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Speedway Volkswagen & Subaru, Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, RV 4 Wheel Drive & Performance, No. 48 sprint car, opened his Eldora Speedway visit with a seventh-place score on Wednesday, July 16, starting his respective Double Down Duel$ main event from the exact same position.
His week may have ended in Rossburg, Ohio, but it all commenced at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, where the Gettysburg ace finished ninth in a spontaneous visit on July 12. Not stopping there, Double-D raced on to finish tenth in a High Limit Racing visit to Fremont Speedway on Monday, July 14 – he started 14th.
“What a week…that was fun,” Dietrich explained. “We hit the road a little bit and it all worked out to our advantage. Our goal was to get to Knoxville at least once before the Nationals and I think that trip was well worth it. We put some things together that we can utilize next month.
“As far as the Kings Royal, we wanted a little more out of our result, but I’m proud of our effort,” Dietrich added. “To pace the four-wide field is pretty special. That’s a memory that sticks with you. We have another busy stretch ahead. Always working for more.”
