DOWN UNDER UPDATE: Doney-Lawson Racing’s Xavier Doney qualifies for High Limit International finale

ODESSA, Mo. (December 30, 2025) – Xavier Doney of Doney-Lawson Racing and Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars put it in the “Big Dance” Tuesday evening at the Perth Motorplex in Perth, Western Australia, eventually battling for a $110,000 top prize in High Limit Racing’s international showcase. Doney, a native of the United States who calls Odessa, Missouri, home, earned his way into the 35-lap main event through the evening’s B-Main, finishing third in the 15-lap consolation after starting fifth on the grid. The former POWRi full-timer raced on to finish 15th in the aforementioned 35-lap finale, commencing action from the inside of row 12.

The High Limit International event was three days in total beginning Sunday, December 28. Doney and the Keen Family-owned hot rod qualified for each of the three main events contested with the finale being his best result. The program attracted some of the best open wheel racers in the world including eventual main event winner and recent NASCAR Cup Series champion, Kyle Larson.

Doney-Lawson Racing and the Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars will roll into 2026 fresh off of a competitive, yet successful 2025 season padded by a podium outcome in the POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint League driver standings. In fact, Xavier Doney, the ace who achieved the aforementioned statistic, won twice in his POWRi schedule, ending his campaign with 19 top-ten finishes in 24 A-Main starts.
