Eldora Weekend Ahead for Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing!
Finishes Fifth with All Stars at Lernerville Speedway

Pittsburgh, PA (May 4th, 2015) – Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing will make their first Eldora Speedway visit of 2015 this Friday and Saturday, May 8th & 9th; joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at the Rossburg, Ohio half-mile dirt oval for two complete programs. Holtgraver, a former Eldora Speedway winner with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions in 2014, will venture to ‘The Big E’ with high hopes of earning his first win with Phoenix Racing, and his first win with the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt.’
“Definitely excited to get back there” said Holtgraver, “It’s Eldora; there isn’t much more to say…it’s a place everyone knows and it’s a place where everyone wants to win; especially with the World of Outlaws…I was fortunate enough to get a win there last year with the All Stars and that makes it even more exciting to get back…Tom and Sherry Leidig gave me a great opportunity this year…we’ve had some ups and downs, but we keep moving forward…we put every completed race behind us and move on to the next one…hopefully we can put ourselves in a great position this weekend and maybe get that first Outlaw win.”
Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing are coming off of a two-weekend stretch with the All Star Circuit of Champions in Pennsylvania where they completed events in the central part of the state, as well as in western areas of the state. During the most recent weekend, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native and the ‘59’ team joined the All Stars at the Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park; earning one top-five finish along the way. The three-time All Star winner in 2014 finished fifth at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday, May 1st.
“It wasn’t a bad weekend” said Holtgraver, “We had a pretty good night at Lernerville…finished fifth so we were pretty happy with that…had some bad luck at Mercer on Saturday; cut a tire on the final lap and limped it home 20th…tough deal but that stuff happens…we have a long season ahead…plenty of time to recover.”
This weekend will mark as the first of many Eldora Speedway visits for Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing. The Bonnell’s Rod Shop, DKW Transport, Auto Electric of Jupiter, Florida, Southern Pacific Farms, ‘59’ team will rejoin the national travelers at Eldora for the ‘Kings Royal’ weekend later this summer.
