KNOXVILLE, Iowa (April 8, 2024) – It was a one and done weekend for Cory Eliason and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR), and despite Mother Nature ultimately ruining their plans to join the IRA Outlaw Sprint Series and Midwest Open Wheel Association (MOWA) at 34 Raceway on Saturday, April 6, their Friday agenda to battle the Greatest Show On Dirt went on as scheduled, eventually concluding the Wildcat Showdown at US 36 Raceway with an 11th-place score.
Eliason, driver of Brian and Lisa Ridge’s Commercial Edge, NDT New Direction Transport LLC, Ridge Development, North Ridge Development, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, B And L Holdings, No. 8 sprint car, put on an impressive display to earn the aforementioned 11th-place outcome, improving eight positions from 19th on the grid. The Visalia, California, native is certainly no stranger to forward progress, perfecting a march from 15th to finish sixth at Williams Grove Speedway just one weekend prior.
“The weather hasn’t been helpful, but we were happy to get that one in at US 36 Raceway. We need to keep this momentum going before we get back to High Limit action in Texas,” Eliason explained. “Hats off to this entire team. We’ve been clicking really well and I’m sure that will transfer into the upcoming weekend.”
