KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 17, 2024) – An off weekend for High Limit Racing allowed Cory Eliason and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) to venture to the Sprint Car Capital of the World, ultimately joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in a two-day precursor to the coveted Knoxville Nationals. It was a slow start to the weekend for the Visalia, California, native, but his results turned the corner in a hurry, concluding action with a top-15 score on Saturday, June 15.
“It was great to turn some laps at Knoxville Raceway. You can never know too much about that place, especially with the Knoxville Nationals quickly approaching,” Eliason, ace of the Commercial Edge, NDT New Direction Transport LLC, Ridge Development, North Ridge Development, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, B And L Holdings, No. 8 sprint car, said. “I’m pretty certain our plan is to head to Huset’s Speedway this week and be in contention for some big money. There’s a lot on the line all week so I’m excited for the opportunity that Brian and Lisa Ridge have given us.”
As hinted, Eliason and RSR’s weekend at Knoxville Raceway started slow (missing main event competition on Friday), but the Knoxville, Iowa-based team rebounded solidly, concluding the World of Outlaws pair with a 14th-place outcome in the 25-lap finale; he started 24th.
It was a final transfer position in the evening’s Last Chance Showdown that gave the team their A-Main opportunity. They just missed their 16th top-ten of the year.
In addition, Eliason and RSR finished 15th in the $55,555-to-win Bikini Zone Eagle Nationals at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Nebraska, on Tuesday, June 11; he started 19th in the High Limit Racing blockbuster.

Ridge & Sons Racing and Cory Eliason [No. 8] will continue their 2024 campaign with four nights at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, beginning with the $100,000-to-win High Bank Hustle on Wednesday and Thursday, June 19-20. The four-day weekend will conclude with the $250,000-to-win High Bank Nationals on Friday and Saturday, June 21-22.
