Elite 8 Lates, Renegade & Rush Mods, plus Pic-A-Part Sportsman on tap for Friday, July 18
Sarver, PA (July 18, 2014) Another huge double header weekend of activities is on tap for the high octane open wheel modified touring series sweeping the Eastern United States. The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will star this weekend in a pair of prestigious events at two of the finest facilities in the East; Lernerville Speedway and the Tyler County Speedway. The Elite 8 Super Late Model Tour will also be in competition alongside the tour each night, including a $3,000-to-win, 30-lap A-Main Friday Night.
On Friday, July 18th the Lernerville Speedway will host the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour presented by Arizona Sport Shirts for the first time ever. The visit also marks only the second time the tour has crossed into the ‘Keystone State’ of Pennsylvania in its rich three year history. The famed Lernerville Speedway will await the “Beasts of the East” for a $1,500-to-win 25 Lap main event that is sure to provide plenty of fireworks on the big 4/10 mile red clay oval.
The always jammed packed Sarver, PA speedplant will witness the likes of Kyle Strickler, Tyler Nicely, Rich Michael, Tyler Evans, Mark Dickson, Robbie Evans, Travis Dickson, Kevin Miller, Jon Sluka, Patrick Lyon, Derrick Ramey, and many more of the nation’s best dirt modifieds invade for a battle against the talented list of regional competitors including Vic Vena, Steve Dixon, Evan Taylor, Jon Taylor, Deana Groves, and Shawn Shingledecker.
The Elite 8 Late Models will surely feature local and regional stars of Western PA as well as Ohio Valley stars such as Doug Drown, Rick Aukland, Devin Moran, Corey Conley and Ryan Markham. More names will be released as they are confirmed or announced, but with $3,000 on the line, it’s safe to say that there will be a stout field of competitors vying for the big check!
The Rush Modifieds will return to the Action Track for their third race of the season. Just two weeks ago, Dave Conant Jr. took the win at the Action Track and Adam Hilton won the Rush Modifieds debut race back in May. Hilton leads the Sweeney Weekly Point standings over Rocky Kugel, Jamie Duncan, Jeremy Zufal and Adam Siegel.
Friday Night’s program will also see our ultra-competitive Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman back in action with Budweiser Points leader Jim Fosnaught fresh off his third feature win of the season. Two-Time Defending Track Champion Corey McPherson rides second in points, just 13 points out of the lead. Rob Shook is third in points, but still seeks his first feature win of the season. 2014 feature winners Mark Sanders and Terry Young currently sit fourth and fifth in the Budweiser Point Standings.
Tickets are just $14 for adult general admission, $10 for seniors, $7 for students 11-17 and kids 10 & under are always admitted FREE! Pit admission is just $20 for DIRTcar and Rush members and $30 dollars for non-members.
