F.A.S.T. Point Battles Heat Up; Andrews and Rando Ahead by Less Than 20 Each

Fremont, OH (July 22nd, 2014) – Led by current series point leader Steve Rando, the JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro will finally return to competition this Friday and Saturday, July 25th & 26th. After being off for over a month, Ohio’s top ‘305’ sprint car competitors will hop back on the F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series trail, and continue their quest towards the $2,000 championship. Bobby Clark is the most recent winner on the F.A.S.T. ‘305’ tour; earning the victory at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio back on Saturday, June 14th. Steve Rando leads the current F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series standings by seven (7) markers over John Ivy. Defending champion, Nate Dussel, is third in the current standings; followed by Dustin Dinan and Jordan Ryan. The series will visit Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway this Friday and Saturday.

The Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service will also continue their 2014 campaign this Friday and Saturday, July 25 & 26th at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway. Despite being involved in back-to-back on track incidents during the last two (2) sanctioned events, Chris Andrews continues to lead the $10,000-to-win F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series standings; hanging on by a mere fourteen (14) markers over former champion, Byron Reed. Caleb Griffith, Brian Lay and Travis Philo round out the top-five in the championship chase heading into the weekend.

During recent F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series competition, it was Craig Mintz and Rob Chaney each earning a victory. For Mintz, the July 18th win at Attica was his second F.A.S.T. victory of 2014; each occurring at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. Mintz joined Brian Lay and Chris Andrews as the only two-time winners on the tour thus far this season.

Rob Chaney earned his first Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service main event win of the year last Saturday evening, July 19th at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. Chaney, who is not a full-time F.A.S.T competitor in 2014, joined an elite list of one-time winners with the series this season; including Christopher Bell, Tim Shaffer and Dale Blaney.

The upcoming weekend’s F.A.S.T. schedule will go in the books as Night’s #14 & #15 of the 2014 F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series schedule, and Night’s #7 & #8 of the 2014 F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series schedule. Interestingly enough, only one (1) date has been lost thus far this season; with Mother Nature taking-out ‘410’ competition back on Friday evening, April 25th at the Attica Raceway Park. Although the F.A.S.T. series has seen three (3) repeat ‘410’ winners in 2014, there has yet to be a repeat winner during F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series action.
