Fremont, OH (April 19th, 2014) – A new Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) season is officially underway in the ‘Buckeye State.’ The 2014 schedule kicked-off on Friday evening, April 18th at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. Tim Shaffer earned the Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) ‘410’ Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service main event victory on Friday night; holding off charges by Caleb Griffith (2nd), Craig Mintz (3rd), Chris Andrews (4th) and Jody Keegan (5th) for his first Attica Raceway Park win of 2014. Shaffer qualified for the Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) main event by way of finishing second during his respective heat race. The evening’s redraw allowed the ‘Steel City Outlaw’ to start the thirty-lap main event from the inside of the third row in fifth position. There were thirty-six (36) Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title ‘410’ Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service sprint cars signed in for action. Craig Mintz was the evening’s fastest overall qualifier. Caleb Griffith, Stuart Brubaker, Jody Keegan and Chris Andrews all earned ‘410’ sprint car heat race victories. Updated F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series standings will be posted after the weekend is complete.

The new JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro season also kicked-off on Friday evening, April 18th at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. John Ivy would earn the 25-lap, F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series main event victory on Friday night after starting from the pole position. Jordan Ryan and Steve Rando rounded out the F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series main event podium on opening night. Seth Schneider and Alvin Roepke finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Ivy finished second during his respective heat race; automatically qualifying himself for the main event and the redraw. There were twenty-eight (28) JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro sprint cars signed in for competition at ‘ARP’ on April 18th. Jimmy Colvin was the overall fastest ‘305’ sprinter during qualifying time trials. Colvin’s time of 13.383 is a ‘new track record’ at Attica Raceway Park for the ‘305’ sprint car division. Jordan Ryan, Bobby Clark, Nate Dussel and Dustin Dinan all earned respective heat race wins. Updated F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series point standings will be posted after the weekend is complete.
