Fremont/Attica Sprint Title action comes to a close this weekend with the FAST finale being held Saturday, September 10th, at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. Bryan Sebetto currently holds the FAST point championship lead by a slim margin over Dean Jacobs of only 13 points. Interestingly enough, Sebetto has four wins with the series in 2011; while Jacobs has none. Former FAST Champion, Byron Reed, holds third with 3 series’ wins in 2011; with Craig Mintz and Phil Gressman rounding out the top 5 in the standings. The FAST finale this Saturday is offering a $3,000 to win purse.

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series just wrapped up a busy Labor Day weekend in the northeast; with three races in two states resulting in three separate winners. Skagit Speedway in Alger, Washington, played host to the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt’ this past Friday and Saturday night, September 2nd and 3rd. The ‘Crowd Pleaser,’ Craig Dollanky, won his eighth victory of the season during Friday night action at Skagit Speedway with the World of Outlaws. Saturday night action would see a first time winner with the series grab the $20,000 check; Sam Hafertepe Jr. started from the front row and lead every lap to earn his first career Outlaws victory.

The World of Outlaws wrapped up their Labor Day northeast swing with a stop at Cottage Grove Speedway in Cottage Grove, Oregon, last night. Kraig Kinser won his first career World of Outlaws victory at the track back in 2004, and won again last night at the facility; breaking his 2011 win-less streak and doing it in great fashion. The son of 20-time World of Outlaws Champion, Steve Kinser, would have to hold off his own father and current win leader with the series, Craig Dollansky, to earn his first victory of the season.

The series will next venture to Chico, California for the Gold Cup Race of Champions on Friday and Saturday, September 9th and 10th. The two day event, which is held at Silver Dollar Speedway, is an event sought after by drivers from all across the country.
