#FIMotorsports Erratic Q&A featuring Caleb Armstrong: “I’m more of a ranch guy…”
Welcome to the first installment of #FIMotorsports Erratic Q&A; an informal questionnaire that puts our racers on the spot. The questions are random and completely unexpected.
New Castle, Indiana’s Caleb Armstrong was the first to participate in the #FIMotorsports Erratic Q&A session. Armstrong is a second year, full-time traveler with Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions.
Let’s dig a little deeper, shall we?
Name and where you are from?
Caleb Armstrong; New Castle, Indiana
When did you get into racing and what division did you start in?
1997; Local go-kart track in Muncie, Indiana.
If you could only race at one track, every weekend, for the rest of your career, where would it be?
Still a lot of tracks I haven’t been to in my career but one I really enjoyed was Kokomo Speedway. I haven’t been there in a wing car, but I have been there in a micro, midget, and a non-wing sprint car. I’m from Indiana so of course I have to go with a track from Indiana!
What is the weirdest food you put ketchup on?
I don’t get too spontaneous with ketchup. I am more of a ranch guy.
What celebrity would you rate as a perfect 10?
Mila Kunis
What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured?
That one time we raced at Butler (MI) Speedway and it was to dusty to see and I ended up hitting someone and breaking my leg!
If you were given a one-minute ad slot during the Super Bowl that you couldn’t sell, what would you fill it with?
Best fail videos. There is nothing funnier than watching people mess up.
What’s the most useless talent you have?
Mowing the yard! My grass is all striped up!
If you could time travel, where would you go?
Back to the days when you could build an IndyCar in your garage and try to make the Indy 500.
If you could eat only 3 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Pizza, steak, and anything from Taco Bell.
Tell me 3 things you remember about kindergarten.
It’s hard to recall my kindergarten days. I flipped to many race cars since then!
If you could be an Olympic athlete, in what sport would you compete?
I would want to be on a bobsled team. It looks like fun!
If you could live in any TV home, what would it be?
That 70’s Show.
If you could have dinner with anyone from history, who would it be? Why?
My younger self. You could set yourself up for nothing but success.
And last but not least….
What is your favorite movie quote?
“Uh, it’s 10:33” – Fogell from Superbad
