BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (September 11, 2023) – Benton Ridge, Ohio’s Greg Wilson and the term “forward progress” are certainly synonymous with one another, and that was proven yet again during the recent weekend, as the ace of the Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics, No. W20 sprint car powered ahead impressively on both nights of the Attica/Fremont Championship Series championship weekend, highlighting his northwest Ohio doubleheader with a podium performance at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, September 9.

Wilson, a two-time winner in 2023 with victories in Wisconsin and Michigan, finished third in his Fremont Speedway podium appearance, commencing his route to the front from 17th on the evening grid. Impressive enough, the former two-time All Star champion was forced to first compete in the consolation B-Main, winning that contest after starting from the pole position.

Wilson’s weekend actually commenced nearly the same as it ended, first winning his respective Attica Raceway Park consolation B-Main, then starting 17th on the evening’s feature grid. A ten spot jump would see Wilson end the contest seventh in the running order.

The AFCS doubleheader certainly helped pad Wilson’s evergrowing stat sheet, now with 18 top-ten finishes in 2023, nine of which within the top-five.

“It was a fun weekend. To persevere and come out of the B-Mains like we did says a lot. I’d rather not have to race the B-Main, but to have the confidence and the ability to make progress is very motivating. I’m confident we can accomplish anything,” Wilson stated. “I just can’t say enough about my girls, the team, all of our partners. The road to success is always a challenging one. We want to keep this momentum alive when we rejoin the All Stars at Fremont.”
