Fremont, OH (May 14th, 2014) – The Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T) Championship Series for the ‘410’ and ‘305’ sprint cars will continue this Friday and Saturday, May 16th & 17th at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway. Ohio’s finest sprint car pilots will take to the dirt once again in northwestern Ohio; continuing their trek towards the 2014 F.A.S.T. championship. F.A.S.T. action for the ‘305s’ and ‘410s’ resumes on Friday evening, May 16th at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. Both F.A.S.T. divisions will then make their usual Saturday night visit to the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio on Saturday evening, May 17th.
Craig Mintz is the current Kistler Racing Products F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service point leader. The former F.A.S.T. champion leads recent series feature winner, Caleb Griffith, by three (3) markers heading into this weekend’s pair of events. Chris Andrews, Byron Reed and Stuart Brubaker round out the top five, respectably. The series has crowned three different main event winners during its first three completed events; with Tim Shaffer, Christopher Bell and Caleb Griffith each earning F.A.S.T. wins so far in 2014. The upcoming two-race weekend will act as nights #5 & #6 on the 2014 F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series schedule. The 2014 series champion will earn $10,000.
John Ivy will lead the JLH General Contractors F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro charge into this weekend’s pair of programs. Ivy, who won Night #1 of the 2014 F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series schedule at Attica Raceway Park, leads the F.A.S.T. standings by fifteen (15) points heading into the weekend schedule. Steve Rando and Jordan Ryan find themselves second and third in the standings; followed by Jimmy Colvin and Dustin Dinan. Only two rounds of the 2014 F.A.S.T. ‘305’ schedule have been completed. John Ivy and Jimmy Colvin each own one victory. The 2014 F.A.S.T. ‘305’ champion will earn $2,000.
As an extra incentive for F.A.S.T. competitors, the all-new ‘Baumann Auto Group Big Bucks Bump’ challenge will come into play this Saturday, May 17th at Fremont Speedway. The challenge is simple; if the feature pole sitter is willing to forfeit their starting position, go to the tail, and still rally for a win, that individual will be awarded a $5,000 bonus. If the feature pole sitter refuses to take the ‘Baumann Auto Group Big Bucks Bump’ challenge, the outside pole sitter will be offered the challenge. To make things even more interesting; if the pole sitter decides to take the challenge, starts at the tail, and fails to earn the feature victory, that individual will still be awarded double the normal purse prize for that position. The ‘Baumann Auto Group Big Bucks Bump’ challenge will be offered to every division at the Fremont Speedway until the first weekend of July; including all F.A.S.T. sanctioned programs, weekly divisions and UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions appearances.
