– Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania saw front row starter, Carl Bowser, lead every inch in the 25 lap main event; winning by almost half lap over the 21 other starters. Brian Ellenberger was 2nd with veteran and Fully Injected rep, Rod George, finishing 3rd after a last lap spin. Scott Priester, the star of our latest ‘Behind the Scenes,’ would finish 6th on the evening. Unfortunately, Brandon Matus, the young man from Wampum, Pennsylvania, was caught up in a feature race accident ending his night with a DNF. Kevin Schaeffer, who did win his respective heat race this evening, suffering similar fate would suffer problems with the fuel pump in the feature- also ending his evening with a DNF.
-The World of Outlaws were in action at the Dodge City Raceway in Dodge City, Kansas tonight. A caution with three laps to go would bunch the field- allowing Craig Dollansky to get by Big Game Treestands teammate, Sammy Swindell, for the win. Swindell would settle for 2nd with 2010 WoO Champion, Jason Meyers, 3rd. There were 26 cars in the pit area with Jason Sides taking tonight’s fast time honors.
-Pennsylvania speedweek was back in action tonight at the Williams Grove Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania for the $10,000 to win Mitch Smith Memorial. Alan Krimes picked up his first Williams Grove feature win this evening by holding off Greg Hodnett for the ten grand! Fred Rahmer was the evening’s fastest qualifier over the 35 entries. Cory Haas, the York resident and central PA 358 graduate, rallied from a 23rd starting spot to finish 13th.
-Brandon Martin picked up tonight’s FAST, Fremont Attica Sprint Title, feature victory at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. There were 23 entries at the northwest Ohio facility.
-The All-Star Circuit of Champions were in action tonight at the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio. 29 cars were in the pit area for tonight’s event. Current National points leader, Dale Blaney, picked up the win with the evening’s fast timer, David Gravel, finishing 2nd. Cody Kinser was 3rd. Fully Injected’s Danny Holtgraver timed 2nd quick- but failed to transfer through heat due to mechanical issues. He would recover by winning the B-main event and rallying to finish 9th in the feature.
-In recent ASCS Regional action last night at McCool Junction, Chad Humston picked up an impressive win over a tough field of ASCS National points championship contenders and all around sprint car national talent. He would win the evening over a tough turnout including Brian Brown who was 2nd, former World of Outlaws Champion, Danny Lasoski, who was 3rd, current ASCS National Tour points leader, Shane Stewart, who finished 4th, and Don Droud Jr- who rounded out the top 5.
