Denver, PA (July 14th, 2014) – The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series will revisit the central Pennsylvania battlegrounds this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 17th, 18th & 19th; hosting three (3) full programs at two (2) of Pennsylvania’s most recognized short track facilities. ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ will visit the Lincoln Speedway to kick-off the upcoming weekend; followed by a two-day trip to the Williams Grove Speedway. The almighty ‘Pennsylvania Posse’ will be in full force during the ‘Outlaw’ invasion; including two-time central Pennsylvania winner in 2014, Alan Krimes. Krimes has yet to earn a World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series main event win, but will have three (3) opportunities to do so this weekend.
Alan Krimes will kick-off his upcoming ‘Outlaw’ weekend with a visit to the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania on Thursday evening, July 17th. The Denver, Pennsylvania native is a two-time feature winner at the Pigeon Hills oval in 2014, and will be no less than a fan favorite this Thursday night when the ‘Outlaws’ come back to town. Krimes finished twelfth (12th) against the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series during their last visit to the Lincoln Speedway back on May 14th. Stevie Smith was the main event winner.
‘Super’ Alan Krimes, who pilots the Midnite Antiques, Conestoga Valley Garage, Wayne Corini, Krimes Racing Engines, VRP Shocks, no. 87 ‘410’ sprinter, will follow the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series to the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday and Saturday, July 18th & 19th; taking part in the annual ‘Summer Nationals.’ The two-day weekend will feature two (2) complete programs for the ‘410’ sprint cars; capped-off with the 30-lap/$20,000-to-win ‘Summer Nationals’ finale on Saturday, July 19th. Alan Krimes is currently fourth (4th) in the Williams Grove Speedway ‘410’ track championship standings. The former Mitch Smith Memorial champion at ‘The Grove’ will attempt to hold off the invaders all weekend, and earn the first ‘Posse’ victory against the ‘Outlaws’ at Williams Grove Speedway in 2014. Daryn Pittman swept the ‘Outlaw’ weekend at Williams Grove Speedway back in May.
Entering his upcoming three-race World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series weekend, Alan Krimes finds himself fifth (5th) in the updated SPEEDWAY MOTORS/CHAMPION RACING OIL PA SPRINT CAR SERIES Presented by Hoseheads.com point standings; on the strength of two (2) central Pennsylvania victories.
